Hot Girl Film Club: September Pick

As Hot Girl Summer slowly comes to an end, obviously we’re going to the movies.

For September, we’re seeing The Virgin Suicides, directed by Sofia Coppola, on Sunday, September 13th at Vidiots.

Sofia Coppola is practically mother and has been such a huge inspiration to me as a filmmaker and artist. Few filmmakers capture the beauty, loneliness, messiness and longing of girlhood quite like she does, and The Virgin Suicides feels like the perfect film to close out our summer.

And we’re seeing it at Vidiots, one of my favorite film institutions in LA. Come early, browse the video store, hang with the girls, and then we’ll head into the Eagle Theatre together.

A little reminder that Hot Girl Film Club isn’t a networking event. It’s a community. I started this because I love movies and wanted more girlfriends to go to the movies with. That’s really it. Come make some new friends, talk cinema, and enjoy the theatrical experience with a bunch of girls who love it too.
